| Admiral Hargreves was Commander of the British Fleet for many years earning a glowing reputation for his calm head and his quick thinking. He was Admiral of (warship) during the second world war and was a devoted Navy man. When his long term friend and colleague, Admiral Messervy, died he took on the temporary role as head of the secret service until his retirement several years later. | ||||
